Wall Street rises on track for monthly gains

US stock indices rose on Friday following a batch of positive data.

 

US consumer spending rose 1.1% in June, beating estimates of 0.9%, and above 0.2% in the previous reading.

 

Corporate quarterly results continue to hil down, with both Apple and Amazon reporting results yesterday.

 

Dow Jones rose 0.4% to 32,650, while S&P 500 rose 1% to 4,113, as NASDAQ climbed 1.3% to 12,327.
