US stock indices opened higher today after upbeat data, to march toward all-time highs amid the widespread trade talks optimism.
The second reading of the US GDP showed growth by 2.1% in the third quarter vs. 1.9% in the first reading, and the US durable goods orders index rose by 0.6% in October, higher than forecasts for a decline by 0.5%.
Meanwhile, US and Chinese officials continued to release positive remarks on the near signing of the phase one trade deal, but some see negotiation for the second phase are unlikely to happen before the nest US presidential elections in 2020.
As for trading, Dow Jones rose by less than 0.1% or 5 points to 28,126 as of 16:06 GMT, Nasdaq rose by 0.4% or 35 points to 8,689, and S&P 500 added 0.2% or 6 points to 3,146.
