The main US stock benchmarks rose on Monday, as focus shifted to the upcoming presidential debate between the US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump and his Democratic candidate Joe Biden scheduled this week.

Analysts see that investors will base their decisions on the results of the debate during this week due to its great importance.

The market is also anticipating the monthly jobs data and the final Q2 GDP reading this week.

Most economists expect the US economy will continue shrinking due to the coronavirus crisis and its lingering economic impact.

As for stocks, Dow Jones rose 1.8% or 500 points to 27,673 as of 15:25 GMT, Nasdaq rose 1.5% or 167 points to 11,081, and S&P 500 rose 1.7% or 56 points to 3,355.
