US stock indices were little changed at the opening on Thursday following a new batch of US inflation data.
US producer prices rose 2.4% in October, beating estimates of 2.3%, and up from 1.9% in the previous reading.
US unemployment claims fell slightly to 217 thousand in the week ending November 9, down from 221 thousand in the previous reading, and below expectations of 224 thousand.
Data released yesterday showed US consumer prices rose 2.6% y/y in October as expected, after slowing down to 2.4% in September.
Core prices, excluding food and energy, rose 3.3% y/y, same as September.
US two-year treasury yields rose by 2 basis points to 4.271%, while 10-year yields fell by 5 basis points to 4.419%.
US 30-year treasury yields fell by 5 basis points to 4.584%.
On trading, Dow Jones fell 0.1% as of 15:58 GMT, or 10 points to 43,947 points, while S&P 500 fell 0.1% to 5979 points, as NASDAQ dropped 0.2% to 19,193 points.
