Euro fell today against the dollar after hitting a one-week high, following the meeting of the European Central Bank, at which it kept interest rates and monetary policy unchanged, stemming the rise on the common currency today.
EUR/USD last traded at 1.1156, compared to the opening of 1.1188, with a one-week high at 1.1219, and a session-low at 1.1144, after the pair fell to a ten-week low earlier in the week at 1.1095.
Euro's losses today came after the ECB pointed to how inflation rates were expected to remain low in the coming months, and might even go into negative territory.
As for the dollar, it wavered against a basket of rivals today after setting the lowest level this week, while traders await the payrolls report tomorrow, helping the dollar rise marginally after U.S. data.
