Swiss GDP falls in second quarter

Switzerland`s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) fell to 0.6 percent annual rate in the second quarter of 2014, compared with a revised 2.1 percent, a year ago, missing analysts` median estimate of 1.6 percent.

Figures from the Federal Statistical Office showed that on a quarterly basis, Swiss GDP was flat at 0.0 percent from a previous growth of 0.5 percent, trailing analysts` median estimate of a steady figure.
