Japan's TOPEX rose 0.83%, while Nikkei 225 rose 0.43% to 23,668.
China's CSI 300 fell 0.33%, while Shanghai lost 0.35% to 3,316.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.73%, while South Korea's KOSPI climbed 0.34% to 2,366.
New Zealand's NZX 50 fell 0.30%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.17% to 6,195.
