Asian stocks opened the first session of the week on red, weighed down by economic data released earlier by Asia's largest economy and the world's second-largest economy, showing the slowest quarterly growth in 27 years as China's economy expanded 6.2% in the second quarter, otherwise Japanese stock indices is absent today due to Japan's Marine Day holiday.
China's benchmark index CSI 300 fell by 0.31% (11.89 points) to 3,796.84, the Shanghai composite index fell by 0.26% (7.65 points) to 2,922.90.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index shed 0.16% (46.08 points) to 28,425.54. South Korea's Kospi Index fell 0.12% (2.43 points) to 2,084.23.
To the New Zealand NZX 50 index, which fell 0.42% (44.59 points) to 10,656.84. On the other hand, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index shed 0.41% (27.65 points) to 6,668.90.
