The major US stocks indices fell on Tuesday, as focus turned to the Federal Reserve meeting, which will start later today and continue until tomorrow.

The central bank is widely expected to keep the interest rate unchanged, as the Fed previously ensure fixing the rate to support the US economy amid the coronavirus crisis, and the meeting will be followed by a press conference from Fed chair Jerome Powell to comment on the decision.

Simultaneously, more companies will continue to report their business results for the second quarter, as several tech giants, such as Apple, Alphabet and Amazon, will report their results later this week.

As for stocks, Dow Jones fell 0.4% or 112 points to 26,472 as of 14:07 GMT, Nasdaq fell 0.5% or 50 points to 10,485, and S&P 500 dipped 0.2% or 7 points to 3,231.
