Dow Jones jumps over 600 points in week's first session

The major US stocks indices rose on Tuesday, the first session of the week after the Memorial Day holiday, amid optimism about the economy reopening.

 

Concerns over the US-China tensions eased, as comments between the two countries have receded after the US blamed Beijing for the global coronavirus outbreak.

 

Analysts are also optimistic about news about the development of coronavirus vaccines, especially after China announced promising results about human trails.

 

As for stocks, Dow Jones rose 2.5% or 610  points to 25,075 as of 14:40 GMT,  Nasdaq rose 1.9% or 126 points to 9,450, and S&P 500 rose 1.9% or 57 points to 3,012.
