US crude inventories fall over 10 million barrels

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed today that the US crude inventories fell 10.6 million barrels to reach a total of 526 million barrels during the past week, beating forecasts of a drop by 1.2 million barrels.

 

The gasoline stockpiles rose 700,000 barrels to a total of 247.4 million, and distillate stockpiles rose 0.5 million barrels to a total of 178.4 million.

 

While the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed yesterday in preliminary data that inventories fell 6.8 million barrels during same period.
