Euro widened its losses on Thursday to a 14-year nadir as the dollar surges against main currencies following the Federal Reserve's meeting.
EUR/USD last traded at 1.0411, sharply down from the opening of 1.0517, with an intraday high at 1.0526, and a 14-year nadir 1.0392.
Euro's drop comes after demand fell on main currencies as dollar benefits from a massive boost after the Fed increased interest rates for the first time in a year.
The Fed also forecast three more hikes in 2017, compared to expectations of two preciously, which propelled the dollar further and bashed the common currency.
The policy gap has widened between the Fed and the European Central Bank, which hurt the euro further against the dollar as investors flock to the greenback.
