Capital spending weakened in Japan

Japanese capital spending weakened during the second quarter of this year amid the recent instable economic performance and downward pressure after applying the sales-tax hike plan on 1 st April.

Capital Spending in Japan slid during the second quarter of the year to 3.0%, from a previous reading of 7.4% in previous reading, while analysts’ estimates were 4.2%.

Capital spending excl software came above expectations at 1.9% during the second quarter, from a previous reading of 8.3%, up from analysts’ estimates of 1.0%.
