Asian stock indices opened the second session of the week higher after President Donald Trump asserted in a tweet the validity of the trade deal with China, calling on them to stick with the conditions.
White House adviser Peter Navaro stated earlier that the trade deal was over due to later disagreement on the coronavirus, however he retracted his comments later, asserting the intention was a lack of confidence and not related to the deal.
The International Monetary Fund will released global GDP forecasts today after its chief economist warned from much worse estimates than expected before.
Japan's TOPEX rose 0.78%, while Nikkei 225 climbed 0.82% to 22,621.
China's CSI advanced 0.36%, while Shanghai added 0.17% to 2,970.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.92%, while South Korea's KOSPI rose 0.48% to 2,136.
New Zealand's NZX 50 rose 0.18%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 climbed 0.15% to 5,953.
