The New Zealand dollar fell on Thursday for the second straight session to a four-week low after the Reserve Bank of New Zealand voted to hold interest rates and monetary policy steady in its last policy meeting.

NZD/USD fell to 0.7201 from the opening of 0.7234, with an intraday high at 0.7236, and a low at 0.7193.

The RBNZ held interest rates steady at 1.75%, as inflation in New Zealand remains below the bank's target.
