The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed today that the US crude inventories rose by 3.5 million barrels to reach a total of 431.7 million barrels during past week, beating forecasts of 1.4 million.
The gasoline stockpiles rose by 1.2 million barrels to a total of 261.2 million barrels, and distillate stockpiles declined by 1.3 million barrels with a total of 144.7 million.
While the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed yesterday in preliminary data that inventories fell by 4.3 million barrels during same period.
