Consumer confidence in the United States fell sharply in March, showing the full extent of growth concerns on the US economy.
According to data released by the US Conference Board, Consumer Confidence Index fell to 124.1 points this month from 131.4 points in February, its second low this year.
In comparison, Analysts had estimated that the CB index would reach a reading of 133 points this month.
