Australian dollar tilted higher in Asian trade off February 2016 lows against its US counterpart for the third session, ahead of US manufacturing data later today.

As of 03:11 GMT, AUD/USD inched up to 0.7043, with an intraday high at 0.7071, and a low at 0.7033.

Now investors await the final reading for the US manufacturing PMI by Markit, estimated at 53.9, same as the first reading and down from 55.3 in November.
