Silver futures tilted higher in American trade to November 2 highs even as the dollar index marked two-week highs, following earlier inflation data from the US.
AS of 06:58 GMT, silver futures due in March rose 0.10% to $14.62 an ounce, marking six-week highs, while the dollar index rose 0.06% to 97.28.
US Inflation
Earlier US data showed producer prices rose 0.1% in November, beating estimates of no change, while slowing down from October's 0.6% increase.
Core prices, excluding food and fuel, rose 0.3%, beating forecasts of 0.1% and missing estimates of 0.5%.
Reports came out that China started work on cutting tariffs on US cars, with speculations the cut might reach 15% from 40%.
