Silver holds on frim dollar

Silver prices tilted lower on Friday, as the US dollar rose against most currencies, which weighed down on commodities and precious metals.

Today is the last day for the World Economic Forum in Davos, which was attended by a number of notable politicians and economists.

The climate change was the most prominent discussed issue in the Davos Forum, in a way that some see is similar to the September 11th attacks in the US.

President Donald Trump demanded during the forum from the EU and the UK to deliver a fair trade deal with Washington, or face tariffs.

The dollar index rose by 0.2% to 97.8 points as of 12:73 GMT, after hitting a high of 97.8 and a low of 97.6.

Silver March futures held at $17.82 an ounce as of 12:38 GMT, with a day high of $17.865 and a low of $17.74.
