Corn prices rose today after President Donald Trump's comments on the ethanol industry, saying that US farmers should wait for great news about ethanol refineries.

It's worth mentioning that American corn farmers depend massively on the ethanol industry, while a decision by the EPA in 2011 has made several restriction on refineries from which has hurt farmers.

Trump is trying to compensate farmers farmers suffering from the trade war with China, which have hurt their exports to China that is seeking other countries for its corn, which is Trump's attempts to win the farmers votes in next presidential election in 2020.

As of 14:08 GMT, corn prices rose by 0.7% to $374 per bushel, with a high of $374.5 and a low of $369.2.
