Europe near four-month highs ahead of trade talks

European stocks rose on Wednesday to near four-month highs after a hiatus from gains yesterday on losses by the car sector. 

 

Dow Jones Stoxx Europe 600 rose 0.1% after losing 0.2% yesterday, the first loss in three on profit-taking. 

 

Euro Stoxx rose on Wednesday after a hiatus yesterday, nearing October highs as most sector turn positive. 

 

The car sector recovered strongly with a 1% surge on hopes for US-China trade talks. 

 

On Wall Street, the Standard and Poor's 500 futures steadied flat after rising 0.15% yesterday. 

 

Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.1%, while France's CAC 40 added 0.2%, as Germany's DAX added 0.3%.
