Asia opens mostly higher

Asian stock opened the last session of the week mixed but mostly higher, with Japan, China, New Zealand, and South Korea higher, while Australia lost ground, after Pfizer and BioNTech announced their vaccine is on track for regulatory approval in October, while China said trade talks with the US will resume soon. 

 

Japan's TOPEX rose 0.32%, while Nikkei 225 climbed 0.32% to 22,953. 

 

China's CSI 300 rose 1.08%, while Shanghai climbed 0.66% to 3,386. 

 

Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.88$, while South Korea's KOSPI rallied 1.43% to 2,306. 

 

New Zealand's NZX 50 rose 1.22%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 inched down 0.18% to 6,109.
