The major US stock indices fell on Tuesday, as the market focused on the first US presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Democrat candidate Joe Biden.

This comes amid the lack of agreement by the US congressional leaders on the second relief package aimed at easing the coronavirus economic impact.

The US monthly jobs report will be released later this week, but analysts see that investors will base their decisions on the results of the debate between Trump and Biden.

White House Chief Health Advisor Anthony Fauci expressed that US would have an effective Covid-19 vaccine by next November or December.

As for stocks, Dow Jones fell 0.3% or 90 points to 27,492 as of 15:40 GMT, Nasdaq dropped 0.3% or 31 points to 11,086, and S&P 500 fell 0.2% or 6 points to 3,245.
