Dow Jones jumps above 25,000 in early trading

Most of the major US stock indices opened higher on Wednesday, as optimism continued about the development of an effective coronavirus vaccine before the end of this year.

 

Concerns over the US-China tensions eased after the Donald Trump's administration blamed Beijing for the global coronavirus outbreak.

 

Further US states and countries continued reopening their economy to prevent more losses after months of closure due to the coronavirus outbreak.

 

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump criticized Twitter for warning his followers of false news in two of the tweets posted on his account yesterday.

 

As for stocks, Dow Jones rose 1% or 262 points to 25,257 as of 14:27 GMT, and S&P 500 rose 0.3% or 8 points to 3,000, while Nasdaq fell 0.8% or 75 points to 9,263.
