US stocks gained during trading sessions today, on robust earnings reports by several US companies and banks for the third quarter.
Wall Street also drew support from the reported progress in the talks between Britain and the EU on the Brexit file.
European officials stated that the UK and the EU have reached a draft deal and the EU chief negotiator expressed that there's still a possibility of a final deal during the next few hours.
In the oil market, WTI fell by 1.5% and closed at $52.81 a barrel, with a session-high of $53.7 and a low of $52.3.
Brent shed 1% to close at $58.74 a barrel, with a high of $59.6 and a low of $58.
Dow Jones rose by 1% or 237 points, and closed at 27,025 points, with an intraday high of 27,120 and a low of 26,811.
Nasdaq gained 1.2% or 100 points to 8,148, with a high of 8,166 and a low of 8,041.
S&P 500 rose by 1% or 29 points and closed at 2,995 points, with a high of 3,003 and a low of 2,973.
