The Canadian dollar fell on Wednesday, due to the lingering concerns over the coronavirus, as it continued to spread in multiple countries.
Several central banks around the world, led by the US Federal Reserve, warned of the coronavirus impact on business performance of companies in the first quarter of 2020.
President Donald Trump will hold a press conference later today, with health care experts participating, to speak about the extent of the coronavirus impact and spread.
China revealed that the coronavirus has infected more than 78,000, and its death toll rose to 2,700 people.
The virus infections increased in in Austria, Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, Kuwait and Bahrain, while Paris, Seoul and Rome reported deaths.
CAD/USD fell by 0.3% to 0.7507 as of 17:02 GMT, after the pair hit an intraday high of 0.7539 and a low of 0.7501.
