Kiwi drops near 4-year trough against US dollar

The New Zealand dollar fell against the greenback today on weak business confidence data, which fell to 10-year low.

 

Kiwi fell near a 4-year low against the US dollar after the release of the ANZ business confidence data, which showed that the business sentiment has fell due to global economy slowdown.

 

Which comes after the RBNZ and most global banks in other countries are cutting interest rates in attempts to support their economies.

 

NZD/USD fell to $0.6259 earlier today, which is the lowest level since September 2005.

 

NZD/USD fell by 0.5% to $0.6261, with a high of $0.6307 and a low of $0.6249.
