The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed today that the US crude inventories fell by 1.7 million barrels to reach a total of 433.2 million barrels during last week, to fall short of expectations of a rise by 4.7 million.
The gasoline stockpiles also fell by 3.1 million barrels to a total of 223.1 million barrels, and distillate stockpiles declined by 2.7 million barrels with a total of 120.8 million.
While the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed yesterday in preliminary data that the US commercial crude inventories surged by 4.5 million barrels during same period.
