The American Petroleum Institute (API) revealed today in preliminary data that the US crude inventories fell by about 483,000 barrels during the last week, to fall short of expectations of an increase by 3.5 million barrels.
The gasoline inventories fell by 1.7 million barrels, while the distillate inventories rose by 5.9 million barrels during the same period.
While the Energy Information Administration (EIA) will release the official data on Wednesday, which have a significant impact on oil prices movement.
