US consumer sentiment rises in March

2019-03-15 15:12:06 GMT (Economies.com)

A preliminary survey by the University of Michigan and "Reuters" on the US Consumer Sentiment Index showed a rise to 97.8 from 93.8 last month.

In January, the index recorded 91.2 points, which was considered as the worst since November 2016.

Consumer Sentiment improved this month due to increased US household income and positive outlook for economic growth in general.
