Sterling climbs as confidence over Brexit rises

The British pound rose against the dollar on Friday as uncertainty over the departure of the EU faded following a series of voting sessions this week.

The British parliament on Tuesday rejected the agreement plan of Prime Minister "Theresa May" reached with the European side on the exit from the EU.

The next day, the British Parliament voted in favor of a bill that prevent a no-deal brexit, or even an inflexible agreement between the two sides.

Yesterday, in a third vote, parliament announced the postponement of the exit from the European Union beyond the 29th of March - the deadline - to give chances for further negotiations with Brussels until June.

Parliament rejected a proposal to hold a second referendum on leaving Europe, despite the opposition Labor party's earlier talks about the proposal.

In terms of trading, by 18:20 GMT, the British pound rose against the US currency  by 0.3% to 1.3283, with a day high of 1.33 and a low of 1.3204.
