Euro rose in European trade against dollar for third straight session, marking 12-week highs as risk appetite continues to surge in the market.
EUR/USD rose 0.2% to 1.1941, the highest since September 1, after closing up 0.2% yesterday on improving risk appetite.
The dollar index fell 0.2% on Thursday for the third session to 12-week lows at 91.94.
Risk appetite are surging in the markets, in turn hurting haven demand on the greenback.
The strong sentiments came as multiple companies announced highly effective coronavirus vaccines, while US President Elect Joe Biden starts his official transition to the White House.
