EIA: US crude inventories fall below estimates

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced a decline in crude inventories in the United States by about 3.9 million barrels to a total of 449.1 million barrels last week, while analysts estimated a rise of about 3.3 million barrels.

 

Gasoline stocks also fell 4.6 million barrels to a total of 246.1 million barrels last week, while distillate stocks rose by 400,000 barrels to 136.4 million barrels.

 

US Petroleum Institute (API) also announced yesterday in preliminary data that crude stocks in the United States fell by about 2.6 million barrels.
