Aussie plumbs one-week low

Australian dollar dipped on Wednesday to one-week lows as the US dollar regained footing, despite earlier upbeat consumer confidence data from Australia.

AUD/USD dipped to 0.7565 from the opening of 0.7569, with a session-high at 0.7576, and a low at 0.7559.

The Westpac Consumer Sentiment index for Australia rose 0.3% in June, after falling 0.6% in May.

US dollar on the other hand is climbing against other major rivals ahead of the Federal Reserve's meeting later today, expected to result in an interest rate hike to below 2%.
