Australian dollar fell off December 13 highs for another session in Asian trade against its US counterpart, following earlier data from Australia and amid a lack thereof today from the US.
As of 03:41 GMT, AUD/USD slid 0.42% to 0.7185, with an intraday low at 0.7180, and a high at 0.7224.
An index tracking inflation in Australia showed a 0.4% monthly increase in December, compared to no-change in November, while accelerating to 1.9% y/y from 1.6%.
