Australian dollar fell against greenback during trading today, as investors were spooked by the US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross negative comments about the US-China trade deal.
Wilbur Ross downplayed the prospects of signing the trade deal with the Chinese side by November.
Which came after President Trump and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He positive comments about the trade talks between the two sides.
Trump stressed earlier the possibility of reaching a trade deal, as Liu He praised the progress that has been made in the talks.
Otherwise, AUD/USD failed to breach the resistance at 0.68600, to fall afterwards for technical reasons.
As of 15:58 GMT, AUD/USD fell by 0.1% to 0.6847, with an intraday high of 0.6863 and a low of 0.6833.
