Ripple rises 1%, Bitcoin up for fifth straight session

Cryptocurrencies widened their gains today with Bitcoin up for the fifth straight session on a string of positive remarks from tech pioneers.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk described Bitcoin as an excellent idea to reflects the progress the world is going for in electronic payments.
However, Musk says Tesla wouldn't invest in Bitcoin as it doesn't go well with the company's invested activities.
As of 21:33 GMT, Ripple rose 0.1% to $0.33, with an intraday high at $0.34, and a low at $0.32, with market value amounting to $32.8 billion.
Bitcoin rose 1.1% to $3,958, with an intraday high at $3,995.5, and a low at $3,892.5, with market value amounting to $96.4 billion.
