Oil mixed ahead of US inventory data

Oil prices were mixed today with US crude up while Brent lost ground amid focus on US-China trade talks. 

 

The dollar index fell 0.1% to 96.4, with an intraday high at 96.6, and a low at 96.4. 

 

The American Petroleum Institute is releasing initial data on crude stocks before releasing the official report tomorrow. 

 

US West Texas rose 0.4% to $56.3 a barrel, with a session-high at $56.4, while Brent retreated 0.1% to $66.4 a barrel, with an intraday low at $65.6.
