Copper fell today even as dollar slipped against most rivals as markets look for US-China trade talks cautiously.
Earlier Chinese data showed copper imports rose last month 14% to 479 thousand tonnes.
that is a 8.9% yearly increase from 440 thousand tonnes in January 2018.
The dollar index shed 0.2% to 97.04, with a session-low at 96.9.
Copper prices dipped 0.1% to $276.9 a pound, with an intraday high at $280.2, and a low at $276.2.
