Germany IFO current assessment index jumps in May

The sentiment among businesses in Germany improved in May adding to signs the region is gaining momentum, the IFO Institute said on Friday.

-   IFO Business Climate   gauge rose to 105.7    from 10.4, beating forecast of 104.4

-   IFO Current Assessment   jumped to 110.0     from a revised 107.3, below forecast of 107.2

-   IFO Expectations  steadied at 101.6 as expected
