Asian stocks attempt to rise on the back of Wall Street's record highs

Asian stocks opened the week higher after Wall Street hit record highs last week; drawing support from prospects of longer accommodative policies by the Federal Reserve following downbeat US data while inflation softened. 

 

Shanghai stocks indices begun with a decrease by almost 2% followed by a compensation for a great amount of its losses; subsequently to broadcasting growth data of the second quarter, with no change to the former reading, with improvement in both the average of the Industrial production and retail stores.

 

Chinese Stock Index - CSI 300 decreased 1.14% or 42.06 points to 3,661.03, Moreover Shanghai stock index declined by 1.54% or 49.65 points to 3,172.77.

 

Meanwhile Hong Kong Stock Index - Hang Sen 40 increased 0.31% or 82.10 points to 26,471.33, furthermore South Korea Stock – KOSPI increased 0.33% or 7.99 points to 2,422.62.

 

New Zealand Stock Index – NZX 50 increased 0.36% or 27.56 points to 7,677.33, in opposition to Australia Stock Index – S&P/ASX 200 declined 0.07% or 3.82 points to 5,761.30.
