The New Zealand dollar settled on Friday near a four-week high hit yesterday, as the U.S. dollar wavers, while crude and gold prices retreat.
USD/NZD last traded at 1.7112, compared to the opening of 1.7113, with an intraday high at 1.7140, and a low at 1.7071.
Kiwi's wavering comes as the greenback dithers against a basket of rivals near a five-week low, which forced the kiwi to waver as well today.
On the other hand, the kiwi was impacted by changes in commodity prices today, as gold snapped its rise today after hitting a seven-week high yesterday, moving sideways.
Crude prices also fell today, weighing on the kiwi and stymieing its advance against the greenback and throwing it into sideways trading.
