UoM Consumer Sentiment survey drops unexpectedly

University of Michigan's Consumer Sentiment survey fell to 97.8 in November from 10.7 in October, revised upwards from 101.0, while analysts expected 100.8. 

 

As of 03:01 GMT, the dollar index, tracking the greenback against a basket of rivals, fell to 94.39 from the opening of 94.44, with an intraday low at 94.36, and a high at 94.65. 

 

The Economic Conditions indicator in the same survey fell to 113.6 from 116.5 in October, while Economic Outlook dipped to 87.6 from 90.5. 

 

One-year Inflation Outlook rose to 2.6% from 2.4%, while five-year outlook steadied at 2.5% with no change.
