U.S. consumer confidence improves in March

The University of Michigan released its report on U.S. consumer confidence, showing a rise to 97.6 in March from 96.3, besting expectations of 97.1. 

 

The inflation expectations index in the same survey fell to 2.4% from 2.7%. 

 

In Separate data, the CB leading index rose 0.6% in February, same as January's rise, while beating forecasts of a 0.4% rise.
