The Energy Information Administration released its report on US natural gas inventories, showing an inventory drawdown of 93 billion cubic feet in the week ending March 9, adding to the 57B drop in the previous reading, while analysts expected a 99 billion drop.
Total stocks are down to 1.532 trillion cubic feet from 1.625 trillion in the week ending March 2, which is below the total of the same period in 2017 at 2.250 trillion, while also below the five-year average at 1.828 trillion.
