China’s exports and imports slow down in July

China’s exports increased 11.2% y/y in July, below the earlier reading at 17.3%, and missing expectations of 14.8%.

 

Imports rose 14.7% y/y, slowing down from the earlier reading of 23.1%, while expectations were as high as 22.6%.

 

China grossed 321.2 billion Yuan in trade surplus, compared to the earlier reading of 294.3 billion Yuan, and surpassing expectations of 293.55 billion Yuan.
