Aussie heaves up to near four-week high

Australian dollar rose on Monday on track for a four-week high hit last Friday as the US dollar steadies.

AUD/USD rose to 0.7775 from the opening of 0.7767, with an intraday high at 0.7783, and a low at 0.7761.

Aussie's rise comes as the greenback steadies despite US-led military strikes on Syria, which would've normally sapped risk appetite from markets if it weren't for President Trump's previous wearings.

The financial stability report from the Reserve Bank of Australia said the household sector is adapting to financial pressures, while still warning from existing risks.

The RBA said the riskier mortgage debt has fallen, and most financial pressure indicators remain low, but the bank pointed to the exposure of the Australian economy to China.
