Oil below $75 amid high US inventories

Oil prices traded today below $75 a barrel affected by the high US inventories from the 14 th of November. Speculations began to escalate that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will decide in its awaited meeting on the 27 th to cut the production ceiling. Oil prices are expected to remain in a state of volatility till the meeting, especially in light of the continued weak demand and low prices. US crude oil for January delivery traded 0.23% high at 8:51 GMT around 74.68.
