Gold prices slightly weak with Fed meeting in focus

Gold prices eased on Wednesday keeping gains of the previous session, with investors looking ahead to comments from the Federal Reserve (Fed) on the possibility of a rate hike. Investors looked ahead to the outcome of the Fed`s policy meeting later in the day, at which it is widely expected to keep policy on hold till April. The U.S. Commerce Department released the total durable goods orders report, which include transportation items, showing that it fell by 3.4% last month, compared to expectations for a gain of 0.5%. Sport gold fell by 0.25% around $1,288 an ounce, compared with the entry levels $1,291 an ounce.
